The meeting will be conducted via Zoom and the public is invited

DIXON, CA (MPG) - It used to be that in the past if someone was sick and, in the hospital, when there was a need for certain paperwork or signatures urgently, one could go in the hospital and get a person to sign things. But, with the Coronavirus, one cannot go into the hospital to get those signatures.

COVID is striking out of nowhere and catching people unprepared and vulnerable.

“This is making a big mess for a lot of people” said Barbara Sonin, an attorney who handles estate planning, trusts, and probates. That’s why Kiwanis Club of Dixon has asked the expert to be their speaker at their next meeting on Monday, January 25, at 6 p.m.

The meeting will be conducted via Zoom and the public is invited. The Zoom link is available by contacting club members by calling Patti Liu at (707) 635-3303, message on the Kiwanis of Dixon Facebook site or emailing [email protected].

Kiwanis was founded in 1915 in the United States and has grown to an international organization of volunteers. Members improve their communities, make lifelong friendships, and most importantly, help children thrive, prosper, and reach their full potential. It has over 537,830 members and more than 16,654 clubs in more than 85 nations and geographic areas who devote more than 18.5 million hours to service.

Pre-COVID, the local Kiwanis civic organization club meets on the fourth Thursday of each month for a no-host dinner at Bud’s Pub, 100 South First Street. During the pandemic, they have been meeting via Zoom. More information can be found on www.kiwanis.org.
