WOODLAND, CA (MPG) - Once a year, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) conducts a toy drive. Our toy drive, “CHiP's for Kids” is conducted statewide to benefit the children of California and help provide a happy holiday to families in need. CHiP's for Kids has collected thousands of toys and distributed them back into the communities we serve and various organizations. A crucial part of CHiP's for Kids success is the donations and support we receive from local schools, businesses and community members.

On Monday, November 29, 2021, the CHP Woodland Area office, will begin collecting toys. Donation barrels can be found at the CHP Woodland Area office. The marked donation barrels will be in the lobby from Monday, November 29, 2021 to Tuesday, December 14, 2021. Our request is all toys donated, are new and wrapped in their original packaging.

All of the toys collected will be distributed to families within Yolo county. The CHP is proud to partner with local organizations, schools and businesses to make CHiP's for Kids a success in Yolo County. The CHP takes pride in serving Yolo County; not only in providing the highest level of safety, service and security, but also assisting those that are in need of help during the holiday season.
