Silveyville Wreaths

Inspired by Suzie and Curtis Stocking's endeavor with Wreaths Across America, Silveyville Cemetery District Manager Jennifer Huff worked to get wreaths for the gravesites of veterans at Silveyville Cemetery. And, with a whole lot of help from her staff and the Scouts from Troop 152, the wreaths were laid on a recent Saturday morning in the rain and cold.

"My husband and grandfather were veterans and since I started work here, I wondered why we didn't do the wreaths here," she said. After being promoted to her new position, she's been on a mission, working at the Vacaville Bingo 10 hours a week with the money going to the non-profit endeavor. Ultimately, she purchased 835 wreaths for the veteran's grave sites at Silveyville. Special thanks to Jeff Fountain of Solex Corporation, who picked up all the boxes for them. "As long as I'm here, there will be veteran wreaths," she said.
