Build It! Construction Club
Dixon Library, 200 N. First St., hosts a weekly
construction club every Friday afternoon for kids, ages 8 to 14, to build and
create. Dixon Library will be closed Christmas Day (Dec. 25) and
New Year's Day (Jan. 1). The library will be on Winter Program Break from
Dec. 21 to Jan. 4, meaning no storytimes or kids programs will occur
during this time, but the library will be open. Each
week features different building challenges, from recycled materials to Legos,
so you will not want to miss out on the fun.

Community Christmas Gift Giveaway
Freedom Church, 470 E H St., is hosting a Community Christmas Gift Giveaway to support children from families facing financial hardships this holiday season. At 10 a.m. Dec. 20 and 21, families can drop by the church to pick up a gift, but registration is required, and children must be present, accompanied by an adult, to receive their gift.

Mäksē Downtown Christmas Party
Mäksē Restaurant, 555 Main St., Vacaville, is hosting a festive evening full of holiday cheer. From 5 to 9 p.m. Dec. 22, the restaurant will have live Christmas music, a cocktail bar, a buffet dinner (including dessert) and a White Elephant Gift Exchange, meaning guests draw names at random to exchange gifts; gifts must be around $20 and wrapped to be considered eligible. Dixon Senior Club is hosting Christmas Candy Bingo at noon on Dec. 23. The game, held at the Senior/Multi-use Center, 201 S. Fifth St., encourages guests to bring a bag of their favorite Christmas candy to add to the candy pot; candies must be individually wrapped. The winner of each game wins the money and candy pot.

The Solano County Farm Bureau is hosting its 107th Annual Meeting and Dinner at 5 p.m. on Jan. 18. The event, held at the Dixon May Fair, 655 S.
