DIXON, CA (MPG) - Reagan Castelli is SI Dixon Young Woman of the Month. She was nominated by Samantha Bleasdale from the Science Department and presented at the Soroptimist meeting by Officer Coordinator, Olivia Wasser. Principal Angela Brown was also in attendance.
Olivia Wasser remarked that, “Reagan has an infectious, positive attitude. She has served as Class Secretary, Treasurer, and is currently the President of the Associated Student Body and is the President of the Barnyard Club.”
Bleasdale’s recommendation states that Reagan’s academic achievements are impressive on their own, but what really sets Reagan apart is her ability to lift others up and make those around her better. She has a rare combination of intelligence, hard work, and kindness that makes her a natural leader and role model to her peers.
Reagan is the daughter of Marc and Tammy Castelli. She has one brother, Anthony, who is currently serving in the Navy.
Sports have played an important part of Reagan’s high school years. Reagan has played and served as Captain in Volleyball and Track while in High School and participated in the Barnyard Club. The Barnyard Club is a group that helps support the athletes. This support of all sports teams and the friendships she has developed while in school is paramount.
In addition to her busy schedule with school, sports, Barnyard Club, and ASB, Reagan works at Rosemary’s, as well as holding a seasonal position at North Face Ski Resort.
Reagan’s future goal is to pursue a career in orthodontics. Kristina Wiley, a local dentist and Soroptimist member, has inspired her to pursue this typically male-dominated field.
Soroptimist International of Dixon members wish Reagan the best in her future pursuits. What an extraordinary young woman!
