DIXON, CA (MPG) - Soroptimist International of Dixon proudly awarded Vanessa Sendejas Chavez with a $2,000 check to support her journey toward achieving her career aspirations.

The Live Your Dream Award recognizes women who are dedicated to reaching their educational and professional goals. To be eligible, applicants must be the primary financial providers for themselves and their dependents, have never earned a graduate degree, be currently enrolled in a vocational or undergraduate program, and demonstrate financial need.

Vanessa is working towards an associate degree in Early Childhood Education while being a devoted mother to her 7-year-old son, whom she aims to provide the best for every day. Her passion for working with children is evident in her eagerness to learn and her receptiveness to guidance from educators. This degree represents her dream, as she has a deep love for children and is excited to embark on this path.
