Dixon Unified School District Open Enrollment
Dixon Unified School District has begun open enrollment for the 2025-2026 year. All six schools, including Anderson Elementary School, Gretchen Higgins Elementary School, Tremont Elementary School, John Knight Middle School, Dixon High School and Maine Prairie High School, can be applied for online. Dixon Fire Department Volunteer Opportunity
The Dixon Fire Department at 205 Ford Way is offering a volunteer firefighter opportunity for those pursuing a career in fire safety. Volunteer firefighters are responsible for a multitude of services, including emergency medical aid, emergency rescue and all other suppression and prevention activities to protect property and life. DFD is looking for applicants who are enrolled in a CA Fire Academy and/or current licensed paramedics; selected candidates will be eligible to apply for internal firefighter recruitment after 6 months on the job in good standing. Good Character Youth Awards
Organized by the Fairfield-Suisun Rotary Club, and presented by NorthBay Health, the 10th Annual Good Character Youth Awards will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Feb. 5 at Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center, 586 East Wigeon Way, Suisun City. Join community leaders, educators, parents and others to honor 25 high school students who have demonstrated truthfulness, fairness, kindness and helpfulness in their daily lives. The exclusive event, primarily for motorcycle enthusiasts, will feature seminars by some of the top professional in the riding community. Women’s Improvement Club Dinner
The Dixon Women’s Improvement Club, in partnership with the Dixon Chamber of Commerce, is hosting its Annual Scholarship Fundraising Dinner from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Feb. 10. At Bud’s Pub & Grill, 100 S. First St., attendees can choose between tri-tip or prime rib, a chicken dish, salmon, pasta, or a vegetarian dish. A house salad, garlic-roasted potatoes, and bread are included. 2025 Dixon Rotary Crab Feed
The Rotary Club of Dixon is hosting its 21st annual crab feed at 6 p.m. Feb. 22. Enjoy fresh Dungeness crab, pasta, salad and bread. After dinner, dance the night away to the musical styling of The Time Bandits. There will also be raffle prizes and a silent auction in which guests can participate. AI Lunchbreak
The Solano-Napa SBDC is hosting a 12-week training series on AI called 'AI Lunchbreak'. These trainings are designed for small business owners to learn about the benefits of utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI). The 30-minute lunch break sessions, from 12 to 12:30 p.m., are exclusively online, and all twelve sessions can be registered at once.
