DIXON, CA (MPG) - The Dixon Chamber of Commerce is proud to present “Celebrate Dixon,” where we will honor the 62nd Annual Citizen of the Year, the 29th Annual Business of the Year, the Ambassador of the Year, the Veteran of the Year and the Nonprofit of the Year.  This year, we are adding Educator of the Year.

The event takes place on March 8 from 5 to 11 p.m. at Denverton Hall at the Dixon May Fairgrounds, located at 655 South First St. in Dixon.

Following the delicious dinner of tri-tip, chicken, potatoes and salads, the awards will be presented to deserving Dixon citizens, businesses and organizations who have made a significant impact on the quality of life in Dixon.

In addition, there will be raffle prizes and a silent auction, as well as a dessert auction, to help offset the costs of the event. All prior Citizens of the Year receive their tickets at no charge, as we continue to honor them for their past contributions to the community.

We would greatly appreciate your assistance in making the raffle and/or silent auction and dessert auction a success. A donation of a nice raffle prize, auction item, or dessert would help us continue to present this traditional event, which is woven into the very fabric of what makes Dixon such a special community.
