Art Uncorked Shines Again

DIXON, CA (MPG) - The second annual Art Uncorked event, organized by Soroptimist International of Dixon, took place on March 15 at the American Legion Hall, 1305 N. First St., and it was a success once again. 

Guests were treated to a wide variety of artwork from 16 talented local artists, including Jessica Bergler Art, Susan’s Jewels of the Sea, Kathy Hicks Just Be, Nancy’s Kitchen Counter Art, JME Woodworking, James Stevens Guitars & Ukuleles, Lilly of the Arts, Art by Laurie Truman Fio, Eighmie Mathers Arts, Blake Valenzuela, Art & Animator, Art by Amy Mac, Boo Boo’s Pretty’s, Jim Poff - Art & Cards, Tina Wiley Art, Charlee Williams, Cookies & Cupcakes and donated art of George Hugh DeGroat (1917 to 1995) and Parisian artist Eric Peyrol. 

Attendees relished access to appetizers, featuring a generous charcuterie cup that could easily serve as a meal, plus fresh strawberries and decadent chocolates for dessert to complement the European wines provided by The Pip Wine Bar and Shop, along with a distinctive ‘green mocktail.’ Raffle prizes were all art-themed, including sea glass and beaded jewelry, a handmade fused glass bowl, painted wine bottles with lights, and various paintings.

Soroptimist International of Dixon was proud to host this event that showcased the incredible talent of artists in the community. Soroptimist International would like to extend its sincere gratitude to everyone who was involved to help raise funds to support the women, girls and children in the community.
