Dixon High to Offer College Classes this Spring

The College Advancement Program (CAP) will be offering the Solano Community College (SCC) courses listed below at Dixon High School (DHS) for the Spring 2015 Semester. Please bookmark the College Admissions Resource Center (CARC) website www.dixonusd.com for further information.

INTRODUCTION TO BUSINESS – BUS 005
(Evening Class) Monday and Tuesday 6:00PM to 7:15PM
FIRST SEMESTER SPANISH, PART II – SPAN 032
(Evening Class) Tuesday and Thursday, 7:00PM to 8:15PM
MUSIC APPRECIATION – MUS 008
Tuesday and Thursday, 2:10PM to 3:25PM
INTRODUCTION TO PUBLIC SPEAKING – COMM 001
Tuesday and Thursday, 2:10PM to 3:25PM
All College Advancement Program (CAP) courses are UC-CSU transferable.

All SCC students, all DHS students who are approved SCC Special Admissions students, and all adult members of the general public are invited to register.

For currently-enrolled and approved DHS students, these courses are tuition-free. Upon successful completion, DHS students will earn Dual Credit as follows: (1) three SCC college semester credits; and, (2) ten DHS high school semester credits. DHS students will also earn Honors Credit. DHS students must receive written permission from their parent(s) and DHS administration approval for Special Admissions to SCC and registration for CAP courses
